Okay, so I looked at this again, now that its not 2 AM, and I’m still blown away.

Except I’d make one big change: Angel shouldn’t be played by Nicholas Gonzalez. Mostly because who is that? And he’s too damn smiley. Angel should be Idris Elba. Because of reasons. (sexual reasons) I think Idris would make an amazing Angel for the same reasons I think he’d make an amazing Shadow (American Gods) — he’s a huge guy who is extremely intimidating in appearance, but can also pull off the weird lonely vulnerable awkwardness that Angel so embodies. I entirely see Idris as the big fluffy puppy with bad teeth.

Also, he can actually act, unlike David Boreanaz.

Oh god, now I feel bad. I’m sorry baby! I didn’t mean it. You’re a very good actor, and your hair is extra spiky. Also your Irish accent is entirely believable.

I might cast Kal Penn as Xander. Or maybe Dev Patel? Holy shit, why do I want an Indian man to play the insecure manchild who doesn’t know why he can’t get a date? Fuck it, Harry Shum Jr. it is.

Aziz Ansari as Warren Mears is a fucking inspired choice. As is Donald Glover as Johnathan. And Chewie as Giles. And Nelsan Ellis as Caleb. (Oh god, that would be terrifying. I really want to see Nelsan play a psycopath, I think he’d be amazing!) and Jasika Nicole as Jenny Calender. And the thought of Senor Chang as Principal Snyder makes me giggle. Its perfect.

And I don’t know how much I like Antonia Thomas as Buffy, actually. I know I said I liked it, but now I don’t know. Buffy has this weird extra-playful, childish streak to her, something SMG does really well. Can Thomas do that?

And Selena Gomez as Anya? Girl, please. Gabrielle Union as Anya. Bam.

And Levar Burton cannot play the Master. What? No. He’s a puppy. Lance Reddick as the Master. See? Feel that chill go down your spine? I know. I’m awesome.

Also, I dearly want to cast Yvette Nicole Brown as something, I just don’t know who.
