the blackface destroyed the little desire i had to watch this shit. granted, billy crystal did that character in the ’70s/’80s on SNL. however, 30+ years later, that shit is pretty lame and people are going to have an issue with it.
Is there NO ONE who interjects at ANY point in the planning/executing process and says “Hey, guys, that’s kind of a terrible idea”?
the academy is run by old white guys over 50. basically, they don’t see the problem.
